About Our Chapter
First Tee - Coachella Valley is located at the Golf Center at Palm Desert off of Cook Street across from Palm Desert High School. We offer a public 9 hole Par 3 golf course for participants to utilize 7 days a week. With a dual end practice facility including a driving range, chipping area and putting greens, our chapter offers a safe and fun environment for children to learn the game of golf.
Who Can Play? Golf is a game for everyone.
First Tee teaches your child the life-long sport of golf along with important life skills. Programming is age and competency-based, with kids demonstrating proficiency in learned golf skills and the related life skills curriculum. Each level of attainment is acknowledged through certification and the awarding of golf privileges. The First Tee curriculum offers five progressive levels of golf and life skills instruction: PLAYer, PAR, BIRDIE, EAGLE and ACE.

We want ALL parents to take time to complete our orientation that is geared to answer questions and provide information about The First Tee - Coachella Valley. Please make this orientation a priority, as your commitment to this program is equally as important as your child's participation in their classes.

More than a sports program
For more than 22 years The First Tee Program has been using the platform of golf to provide innovative and experiential learning opportunities for young people. Character education and long-term life skills are at the heart of our programs, which are delivered by coaches who have been trained in positive youth development. First Tee offers character education programs at golf courses, elementary schools and youth centers in all 50 states. The First Tee is expanding globally and currently offers programs at six international locations.
