Tryout information:
We are excited to invite you to try out for our FTCV 2026 PGA Junior League team! The team tryout will take place on Saturday, February 21 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM. To register for the tryout, please use the following link:
Once your child makes the team, there will be a separate registration process with PGA Junior League for payment.
Eligibility: Players aged 7-13 are eligible. Please note that your child must turn 14 after July 31, 2026.
Format:
- 2-player team scrambles against other teams, with yardages suitable for age-appropriate par 3, 4, and 5 courses. (This program provides a fantastic opportunity for your child to meet peers in a non-stressful tournament atmosphere.)
2 Teams:
- The ‘Travelling’ team will participate in matches against other clubs. These matches will take place at The Golf Center, Desert Falls CC, and other clubs. This team requires your child to have some golf course experience (ability to consistently forward the ball at least 50 yards) and the maturity to navigate a 9-hole course independently while interacting with others.
- The ‘At Home’ team is designed for players with less experience, allowing them to play against each other at The Golf Center or other clubs if permitted. Players on this team will gain valuable experience, enjoy themselves, and may aspire to advance to the travelling team in the future.
Schedule:
- The program will run from April to June, with a potential playoff season for advanced players. The schedule is still being finalized, but all practices and events will occur at 4:00 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays. While practices are not mandatory, they are highly beneficial.
