When can I register for the next session?
Dates for 2025 Registration/Sessions/Camps
Practice with a Purpose Session Dates: classes 9/2 – 9/20
Registration Opens: 8/15/2025
Fall Registration: 11/3 – 12/20
Registration Opens: 10/15/2025
*Registration opens at 6:00 AM
What is the cost per session?
Cost for a 6-week session of classes:
Ages 4-6 = $75/player
Ages 7 & Up = $75/player
Sibling Discount: 25% multi-child discount (applied to each child enrolled)
Military Discount: 10% military family discount
NOTE: Full refunds are honored if cancellation notice is given prior to the start of the first class. Any cancellations between the time of the first class and second class are entitled to a 50% refund while cancellations made after the start of the second class of the session will not be issued a refund.
Is financial aid available?
First Tee – Coachella Valley has many scholarship opportunities for participants. We offer partial and full scholarships for our Life Skills Program. Financial Aid requests are available through the check out process in our online registration portal.

How do new parents register?
If you are a new parent registering your participant for the first time, please create an online account. A one-time account creation fee will be required, but once the account is created, you will not need to pay this fee again.
Please make sure to enroll your participant in the correct age group. No exceptions will be made.

How do returning parents register?
If your child has participated in a previous session, you likely already have an online account. If you’re having trouble accessing it, click the “Forgot Password” button and a reset email will be sent to you shortly.
If you do not receive the reset email, you can create a new account and register your child as a new participant.

Little Linksters (Age 4-6)
Little Linksters is our entry-level class for the youngest golfers. These fun entry level classes focus on the core value respect and basic golf skills.
Participants Ages 4-6: Please plan for a parent or guardian to CHAPERONE your Little Linkster for the entirety of the 45 or 60 minute class.
Our next session we are offering Little Linkster classes will be Fall Session 11/3 – 12/20)
What is LPGA/USGA Girls Golf?
These popular classes will be offered as supplemental classes to our First Tee – Coachella Valley Life Skills Classes. Your participant must be enrolled in a Life Skills Class First Tee Class to be able to participate in these fun girl only classes.
What is the cancellation policy?
In the event of a cancellation (e.g., due to weather), families will be notified by at least one hour before the scheduled class time. Notifications will be sent out via email and posted on our social media channels.
We kindly ask that you do not call to inquire about cancellations prior to that one-hour window.
Please note: refunds are not issued for classes that are cancelled.
Need to borrow golf clubs for class?
If your participant needs to borrow golf clubs for class, please let the lead instructor know at check-in.
There is no need to reserve clubs ahead of time, we will have plenty available on-site.
What perks does my participant receive for being part of First Tee?
In addition to participating in fun, age-appropriate classes led by trained instructors, your participant will also have access to the Golf Center facility.
Each session includes:
- Complimentary access to the Golf Center at Palm Desert’s Par 3 course
- One (1) small bucket of range balls per participant, per day
(Note: Parents must purchase their own range balls and are not permitted to use the participant’s balls.)
- Continued access to the driving range and course between scheduled sessions
- $12 green fee for parents/guardians playing with an actively enrolled participant
Can my child attend a different class during the week to make up a class?
We do NOT allow participants to attend a different class during the week if he/she is unable to attend their regularly scheduled class because most of our classes at our maximum capacity and we need to keep class sizes and coach:participant ratios consistent.
Can I stay and watch my child during class?
Yes absolutely! We just ask parents to stay at least 50 yards away from classes to guarantee the best learning environments for our participants.
Little Linkster classes are required to have a chaperon on property.
Interested in more competitive activity options?
To participate in any competitive activities, your participant must also be enrolled in a Life Skills class.

Do you accept golf equipment donations?
Yes! Any equipment you would like to donate can be donated at the Golf Center in Palm Desert. Please talk to the front counter staff and they will assist you with your donation.
